Bad idling when cold + problems under boost, MC engine

Hi,
now the cylinder head is like new and we replaced the injectors, injector
seats etc. but still have a problem:
The car will start and fire up just fine when cold, but the cough and stall
in a second or so. This can be done several times, but if I give some
throttle, it will stay running. Seems to be getting worse the colder it
gets.
And - most annoying, probably related: When warm, it will idle just fine,
and if I accelerate gently, it will be just as normal, but if I step on it,
it will usually run fine, but then as I shift up, it will almost die out,
cough and sputter, not able to accelerate at all as long as I floor the
pedal. If I let it up, it will hold the speed just as normal, try to
accelerate, sometimes good, sometimes bad. The weird thing is that if I have
driven for a period and then try to accelerate hard, it will usually run
better, but it's extremely bad just after a gear change.
Any good tips here? Thanks a lot! :)
