Killing Team Doorhandle once & for all?

Something else to consider are the condition of the strike bolts ( on
the jamb side of the body). When
the plastic/nylon sleeve wears, the lock is decidedly harder to operate
since the sleeve acts as a slip
surface for the latch. I replaced the two front "bolts" on my type 44
and never had any latch/handle
problems again. I got them from the dealer and they were inexpensive, (
sometimes the rear door
strikebolts on boneyard cars are in good condition, if you happen to be
shopping.)
