V6 no start update (was: how do you test for spark?)

I tested for spark on the new-used coil I spliced into the
coil pack. I got spark on both sides.
I've got gas, I've got spark ... Air? I pulled a spark plug
and cranked the engine over. The seat-of-my-pants test showed
the piston was moving, so it isn't a broken timing belt. The
spark plug didn't look too bad, but I'll be replacing them all
later today; maybe that will help.
I also pulled the air cleaner. I could see through it, but
blew off some dust, took the dead mouse out of the air box,
and put it all back together.
I'm at a dead end, but I'm still open to suggestions. I have
yet to try measuring voltage coming out of the POS. Nor do I
have an actual number for fuel pressure at the fuel rail.
If new plugs don't help, I'll have the car towed somewhere
and let a pro deal with it. That's gonna hurt.
