%*&#$*&^@# MICE!!!

A bunch of listers have suggested--but then warned me about--cats. Great
mousers, but the cat urine can be pretty noxious.

I'm thinking a couple of Jack Russell terriers on a steady diet of Jolt
cola...

I've looked into just about every option, and no choice is ideal:

1) mouse proof the structure--hard to do and can get expensive.
2) poisons & traps--effective but messy and toxic
3) chemical & electronic deterrents--mileage varies widely
4) introduce a predator--effective, but with its own set of problems--like
the Starbucks bill.

I was going to say, if your garage wasn't attached, run the car to
asphixiate the little buggers, but your car is too new to cause that.
Instead, it'll just give them a nice warm place for them to invite their
friends to. Time to get yourself a cat.
Or a dog. My friend's German Sheppards seem to love to kill mice. The
younger one was even inexperienced enough, or stupid enough to try to
swallow one whole. Boy did THAT cause a mess. She doesn't do that anymore.
