     Noise is speed-related; you can kind of hear it when going slow but 
really feel it in the car at 40mph and above.  Hard to differential how much 
of it is sound and how much is feel; not like these cars are models of 
refinement.  Can hear/feel it under load and when coasting.

    I did the bearings myself with a hydraulic press.  The rears are brand 
new and turned freely and smoothly before putting the uprights back into the 
car.  One of the fronts (which were both replaced the same way about 20k 
ago) was smooth but strangely stiffer than any of the others so I replaced 
it to avoid having to go in again.
