"self-locking nuts"

Self locking nuts generally have a nylock or similar part to them that
keeps the nut from backing off.  It's not a "stretch" thread.  Once turned
onto a bolt and back off, some of the retaining feature is diminished.  For
safety sake on driveline parts, I'd get new lockers.
