Would alternator from '85 4kq fit an '87 4kq?

The brackets for 85 4kq's are different from 87's.  The early bracket will
not work on the late alternator, nor will the late bracket work on the early
alternator.  You can convert from late to early and vice versa, but there is
an attendant belt issue.  The 87 crank pulley is a different size than the
85, and thus you can't use the stock belt.  It can get even harder to guess
when an MC is in the mix.  I am not sure how the 86's fit in, but I *think*
they are the same as the 85's.
