Saddle soap is the tried and true on leather. If you can find some kiwi camp
dry liquid saddle soap, it's great stuff. If not, just find some saddle soap
and follow the directions. He/you may (probably will) have to live with some
discoloring, but the leather will be 'clean' and soft to the touch.
