gas tank replacement

When a seam gave out on my '89 200 TQ, Northern European
Automotive managed to source a used tank.  Having Chris
Semple at Force 5 Automotive just across the street was
real convenient. That said, it was a used tank with a lot
of miles on it.  I would think you could find a "close
enough" aluminum tank/fuel cell by Googling.  If you
have enough dead Audis awaiting tanks, a tank manufacturer
might make you a couple of custom tanks for cheap. How
tough can it be?
