Is my '02 A4q an unusual piece of junk,
or just a piece of junk?

Sorry to hear about all the nagging problems. As stated by another lister,
buying well cared for car about 5 years old is the best deal.
Every car I have personally bought has been approx. 5 to 6 years old and had
between 40k and 50k on the clock. All have worked out for me. Of course,
it takes a little more looking around to find the car.
Then there is the old saying and another thing to look for when buying a
car.
You don't buy a car built on a Monday, Friday, or the day before or after a
holiday. And for European cars, you don't buy a car built near the end of
July or in the first part of September. August is vacation month.
