I've seen some videos with the Group B Quattros and the Pikes Peak Q-cars having a clutch thats declutched by a button on top of the shifter. How'd they do it? I'm thinking it's gota be an electric solenoid on the clutch pedal (the pedal moves when they hit the button), but that would have to be one hell of a solenoid!

The rally S2 Rob Dupree was Navigator for had such an arrangement. If I
recall correctly it was Hydraulic running off the wonderful pentosin
monster Audi gave us to keep busy with leaks. Given the pedal would
slam to the floor with each operation it would be a good way to get
broken feet also. :-)
