I had gotten some Gislaved Nordfrost 3 tires for my
1988 80Q ealier this winter. Got size 185/65-14 for
$280 and was generally pleased with the winter
function of them. Gave up some handling vs the stock
195/60-14 size on turns; when they were dry. Now my
local dealer here in WI is offering some decent prices
if I wanted to put tires on the TT. The stock
225/45-17 gives nice dry handling. Looking at the
different options of going with 16" vs 17"; and
wondering what the input of the list is of the Nokian
WR vs Gislaveds.

Can get the 225/45-17 in the Gislaved Nordfrost 3 for
$428 and the H rated WR nokian are $489 a set. If I go
with the 205/55-16 the Gislaveds are $329 and the
Nokian WR are $399. These prices were with the 3%
cash discount that he is offering. If I go with the
16" then I have to get a set of the steel wheels; $180
a set. Are the Nokians worth the difference? How do
they do on the ice?

Ideas on which way to go; want to kind of do something
quick while they are still in stock.
