When I bought my first Audi (86 CGT Comm Ed,) I missed out on another Audi
at the same place by about 10 minutes (someone else came up and made an
offer while I was examining the 2 Audis available.) Anyway, it was a 2
Door (in other words a Sedan Coupe) 4000 Turbo Quattro. I'm pretty sure it
was factory (this was more than 10 years ago.) So the UrQ wasn't the only
type 85 chassis available with the turbo motor (This may well have been a
grey-market car, however, and the UrQ may have been the only turbo-5 Type
85 imported by Audi into the US.)
I thought about missing out on that car a couple of days ago (maybe after
seeing Ben Swann's stable whilst picking up a transmission.) It's the only
car I am still kicking myself for missing out on. It was white, anyone
seen it recently? I last saw it in Richmond, VA, but the guy who bought it
was from New York. (I would think seeing a 2 door 4k that wasn't a coupe
would stick out in an Audifans mind.)
