'82 - '87 Coupe dash conversoion, few questions

I am piecing together parts to convert my '82 to the newer dash. The only 
diagrams I have are from my Hayne's manual, which ends with '82. First, I notice 
that the later ones have a separate A/C switch on the control panel. Mine does 
not, in fact I have never figured out how to turn on the A/C. Is this a 
straight forward problem? Not liking the old wheel with the exposed metal, I threw 
on another wheel. That one is from a 5KTQ, the horn contacts are completely 
wrong. Should I look for a wheel from a Coupe?
