So how did that hole get into the bottom rear of the front
fender on my late '89 200?  Trust me, it rusted out.

Here in NH, they dump enough salt on the road to kill the
trees along the edge of the road. Add dead leaves and pine
needles into the nooks and crannies of the fender, add water,
and wait.
