We'd need a little more widespread sample to show anything but blind luck,
but FWIW we got Shannon's '03 Jetta Wagon 1.8T new and it's been
troublefree(55k currently). The only trip back to the dealer was for a
coilpack failure which was well documented and handled promptly without
incident. She's not one to put up with car eccentricities, having watched
some of mine, and was a logical choice for a new car. Dunno honey, call the
dealership :)

It's been a great rig, plenty peppy for her, and entertaining for me on
longer trips. The dealers seem to like the mk4 cars from the guys I've
worked with, although the same can't be said of the Touareg.
