In 1986 there was a idea by the Clair family of forming a organization
within the Clair Motor Group, that would provide one stop shopping for auto
body and mechanical repair shops and so was born Clair Parts Express
Wholesale Division. The division grew to be the largest O.E.M. replacement
parts distributor in the New England & New York State Region but it did not
stop there.

In 1996 the idea of Internet shopping was a new and many people were
skeptical. The Clair family being leaders in implementing new ideas forged
ahead with the Clair Parts Express Internet Division. With a crude web site
and a hand full of people, the Internet division has become a leader in
providing O.E.M. items to people around the world. We like our other
divisions have never lost the philosophy of who we are and where we came
from.
