Extra part - '94 90 Quattro 2.8L V6

More info on this 'extra' part:

1) It isn't an oxygen sensor. O2 sensors are way bigger, and I can see both.
2) The wires on the other end go to a connector which plugs in just a bit
below and to the passenger side of the brake fluid reservoir.

Any other ideas?
