K&N snake oil filter?

No, the thread (unless I missed something) was regarding OIL filters.
A lot of people don't realize K&N manufactures oil filters. I've been
using them a long time in boat engines (such as my 450-ish HP 454 big
block). That said, I've personally seen high RPM gains (especially
with high flow and modified engines) on dynos with a K&N type of AIR
filter. Depends on the application and useage. It's true that if you
over oil them (VERY common mistake) the excess oil gets all over your
MAF and can potentially damage it. I'd agree that if the application
is street driving with the typical short shifting, use a OEM type of
air filter, no matter what the vehicle.
