Leaky '95 90Q

Hi everyone. I'm trying to track down an oil leak in my girlfriend's 
1995 90 Quattro. After cleaning everything and driving the car some, 
everything looks dry except for in the vee of the engine. Am I correct 
in thinking this probably means the valley pan gasket needs replacing?

Also, assuming that's the problem, is this something I can fix myself 
(I'm reasonably handy) or should I have my mechanic take a look at it?
