This is a bit off subject, but in relation to AllData anyway. It's
competitor Mitchell OnDemand IS TERRIBLE. I subscribed to OnDemand for about
a year at my shop (We did 70% Porsche, 10% Audi, 5% BMW, 5% Merc, and 10%
VW, and about 85% of those combined was pre-1996ish cars). What a waste of
money. The labor times were off, and it barely had ANY information of value.
The only usefull thing I ever found that I can recall is a very spiffy well
organised wiring diagram for the speaker/amplifier layout in my '87 5ktq. I
will say that on the rare occasion that a non-Deutsch car rolled into the
shop (once every month or even every other month) it usually had a ton of
info, more then any person could ever need.
I have seen AllData in action, and it is a MUCH better program. What we need
now is a PET/ETKA/AllData all-in-one program!
