Mid 80's, period correct radios: which one ?

First, NO, I don't want to put my car in a coucours condition. My 2002
Blaupunkt San Diego is already flaky, so off to the used parts bin.

Now, I'd like to have a period correct, (non-CD, obviously !) radio that
would have been likely to be seen in an mid-80's Audi. OEM or after market,
no matter.
Sound quality is not an issue, mainly because I still use (new) stock-sized
speakers in stock location. In fact, I prefer the music of the 10V...
The only important thing is : one big round button for volume, please. I
only listen to CBC public radio, mainly talk radio.

So, you the older guys here, what was the hot ticket in 1983-ish ?
