Mid 80's, period correct radios: which one ?

Hi,

I replaced my "original" radio in the 81 5KT I bought new with a really hot
Audiovox el cheapo from Costco. BTW, when I replaced it, I found that the
radio had been refurbed but sold to me as new. There's no end to the crap
that the dealers used to get away with. Also, I replaced most of the grain
of wheat light bulbs in it with ones certified for emergency aircraft
lighting about a year or so after installing it. The bulbs cost very little
if you can find them.

HTH.

Cheers!
