That is cute.  The last one I got from a salvage yard was a 1/4 full. 
I sent my wife to get it in her CRX and explicitly asked the guy to
make sure it was empty so it would not stink up her car.  She was
almost overcome by the fumes.  I guess they want it empty, but don't
care how they give them.

My local dump took mine old one no problem.  I just have to take it to
the main county dump not the local transfer station.  Of course they
didn't give me any money for it. I don't know if that was the plan
with your situation.
