Recommendations for Battery Tenders

OK, I am late to this party, but I just use a VW solar trickle charger,
plugs into the lighter socket. It supposedly senses a full charge and
shuts off when reached. You do need sunshine, so you need to have access
to light in your garage, or just buy a cigarette lighter extension cord.
About $15 on fleabay.

I don't know, I haven't used it. But "automatic" implies
some intelligence behind it.  See Brett's post to see
where this one sits in the overall scheme of things.
