question

i've noticed that at the bottom of some peoples
emails, it lists what cars they have. It also lists
parts from different cars on their audis, ex. porsche
brakes, etc. Is this sort of trial and error to see
what fits what, or is there some site that says, hey
you can fit this part from this car on that car.
