Brian,
Aside from what Huw wrote, if you cruise the junkyards around your place,
you may be able to fine an '85 5000 - the headliners used in those cars -
for that year only - were vinyl glued to the cardboard backing board.
Chances are, should you find one, the yard will let it go for cheap (I got
one for $10) - make sure you get the sunroof trim and the D-pillar trims as
well. Failing that......I've seen a company at local swap meets that can
spray on a plush finish on door panels, etc. If you removed the headliner,
and _then_ removed the fabric/etc, you could get a custom covering from one
of those companies (I'll post the name of the company when I see them at the
next swap meet).
