>That may be why the fuel pump appears dead. While a dead fuel pump is a possibility a more likely cause is a dead fuel pump relay. Find the relay and pull it. Then insert a short jumper wire between the two FP leads in the relay's socket. This will provide power to the FP and if the relay was dead the car should now start. Don't leave the jumper in place while te car is parked over night. You can drive the car that way almost indefinitely but you can certainly drive it long enough to get and install a new relay.
