Where are you getting this information from?

No Bosch FPR relays have this functionality to my knowledge, and I  
have anecdotal evidence; I know a mechanic who has pulled several  
people from flipped 911's at DEs and races.  In most cases, the  
engine was happily idling away (in some cases, dumping fuel, oil, or  
both, too).  Either it doesn't exist, is implemented selectively  
across the Bosch range (which would be somewhat surprising) or  
doesn't work very well.

The only safety feature in Audis of our vintage that I'm aware of is  
that the FPR will not be energized unless engine speed is over 30RPMs.
