Since you can't find a reliable mechanic and hubby is in no position to work on the car, you're basically in a no win situation. Turbo engines can be hell to work on if you don't completely understand how all the controls work to manage the engine. Throwing money at something is seldom successful. I don't recall if you've made a call for help from a local Audifan member but if there are none available, I would consider collecting all the money you'd planned to spend and buying a Honda or Toyota or something to drive for a while until you've got time to spend on the 200. One thing about Japanese cars-they're very cheap to run. My brother's still driving a '87 Honda Accord with auto tranny that has somehing like 250K miles on it and the only service part that really failed was the fuel pump which I replaced in less than an hour.

I have owned a ton of Honday, Toyotas and Rabbitts years ago. I keep this car because I have had back surgery and it is very comfortable for me to drive with the permanent pain/injury to nerve in my leg.

Are you saying it is the Turbo which is not working.
THe car ran much better when I went into the mechanic than it does now.

I swear he did something to it so that Iwould bring it back again.
NO way !

If it is the Turbo, is that a part I can replace at the junk yard.
