My own fuel pump saga

That's true, I guess part of it is my own experiences with
my 4000s quattro and also an '84 Coupe GT that I bought for
parts. The GT actually had a piece of a pop can bridging
the fuel pump circuit to the one next to it- something else
I wouldn't recommend since the fuse from the bridged
circuit was badly melted and scorched.

I will say that the GT had some pretty heavy front end
damage which included the radiator and hoses and the
alternator was completely broken off, yet I put a new
battery in and the first time I turned the key it started
right up. Not that I would drive it that way, but they're
some tough cars.
