This reminds me of a rather humerous (but very sad) story.

A gentlman walks into the dealership and enquires about a new timing
belt for a 16V Jetta. I quote him a price and he balks! " I can get a
used one for 5.00!" 2 Weeks later the same gentleman asks for a price on
a reman cylinder head, then a price on a headset and valves... There are
some things best bought new....
