I gutted the cat on the 5KS when it couldn't pass inspection
(Mass-follows Kalifornia emission standards).  After gutting she passed
with flying colors, and has since passed below, WAY below the minimum
emission standard.  The cats' been gutted for about 14 years now.  I did
change the O2 sensor about 7 years ago, why, because I found a brand new
one in the trunk of a car I bought to part out.  

This is a BTDT with an older CIS equipped Audi, no editorial content and
YMMV.
