Quesitons about backup VW Van

Fay, the syncro is cool to look at but not cool to own unless your a VW
mechanic who has a connection with parts. They are not quite as reliable as
the quattros even though their technology is similer. Water cooled
busses(Vanagans) are problematic as well. The head gasket and water sealing
is the culpret. Be carefull not to get into anything that could cause as
much trouble as you have seen with the 5000t. My oppinion is that The
vanagan syncro is very cool and I would buy it but that is cause I would
have another car for when "I" work on it. They can be more expensive than
the 5000T audi.
