> In 1994 FIA itself has decided unliateraly to put chicanes on Barcelona track after the death of two drivers at Imola GP (Senna and Ratzenberger), so was it "unrightly" in 1994?
Everyone's safety was kept in mind and everyone tested on it.

Renault slow more than a Renault in this area?
No, they should go faster ;o)

>THAT'S FALSE !
True sadly, the founding brothers would have been ashamed and the Michelin boss, who supposedly worked there for 40 years, admitted it, too.
> MICHELIN is a great manufacturer and they would'nt compromise their reputation either in a "known before tyre problem and driver death" or in a "we won't be able to race and win so we don't race"...
I'm afraid it looks like the latter. Maybe they didn't want to look bad on TV, an infantile and despicable attitude. If they thought that'd hurt their sales, wonder what they'll sell now. Too expensive for me anyway :o(
In somewhat related news: Michelin is pulling out of World Rally Championship at the end of this season to be replaced by the sister company BF Goodrich, which will keep up the high tech level (without mentioning their name - such altruism) on their behalf. No kidding, that was known before last weekend, at least on rallye1.de.
