Fuchs wheels refinishing: part two.

Hello Louis,

I have three set of Fuchs for my cars. I have a set on my 87' 200/5000cs TQ
that are completely gloss black. This car is my commuting vehicle between NJ
and DC. It has over 282,000 miles as of this last trip down to DC. I love the
Fuchs because they are so strong and light. I decided to go with gloss black
because my car was originally pearl effect white. I am going to paint the car
Porsche grand prix white (PGPW) someday and one of my other sets of Fuchs is
painted PGPW. They look fantastic (to me) and they have the rim lips polished. The
spoke ridges are not polished because that would have cost me a lot more for
the wheel refinishing. I have not done any of my own wheels yet so the sky was
not the limit. My last set of Fuchs are going to be factory silver and go to
my UrQ as an alternate wheel between the Ronal's. On my white 200/5000, the
black wheels give the car a Euro "police interceptor" look that startles people
when I drive by them on the highway. Since the car has no identifying badges
on it right now and the black tail lights and license plate light assembly, the
public has no idea what the car is unless they saw the rings on the grill. It
makes my two and a half hour commute to dc/home a little more fun. I can send
you pictures of my black wheels and the PGPW wheels when I get home tomorrow
if your interested.

Cheers,

Jim Furdyn
