Apparent bearing noise, maybe tire

Ever since I thanked the few people, who replied to this thread, I got many more replies, so I thank you all again.  I'll report after the bearing surgery scheduled for this Friday.  
Suspect both front bearings, wonder about the odds they'd go at the same time.  
There's some issue with the tires, too.  They are warranted for 100K km, so far the fronts have 7K on them with regular driving and are about half worn.  This with varying pressure btwn OEM and a little higher because with OEM (29 Fr, 26 Rr or even pushed to 32 and 28) the outside edges on the fronts started wearing too much.
