Electronic gas pedals... need some info if possible

Hello people! :)

Does anyone know where I can look up some information on the electronic 
gas pedals used in the Audi A3 and VW Golf/Jetta/Bora diesel vehicles? 
They're by Bosch.

I assume the gas pedal doesn't change between diesel and gasoline/petrol 
engines seeing as they're electronic. Is that correct?

Just looking for info on these for a friend with a TDi. Mostly pin-out 
information on the connectors and such stuff.
