turn signal dilema 99 A6

Increased current through the circuit for a better connection?  Bad / 
intermittent ground?
Our A4 had a wierd, but not exact to your symptom, turned out to be a bad 
hazzrd switch on the dash.  Audi fixed it.  It was a strange problem and a 
curious solution.
