Jesper Moreau in his 5000cstq rocket and Bing palazzoli in his 30v A4
quattro, just broke the limits of sanity on a spontaneous night drive
that pushed the limits of physics. points of interest include 0-60
times around the 4.9 second mark and a series of 120 deg turns
(chicane style) basically 2 s's connected at the tip. Note... the 5000
was set for a little bit more torque than usual. We made a left hand
turn onto our favorite road (around our living area), and proceeded to
mash onto the accelerator with no restraint. Reaching 85-90 before the
first turn, a slight tapping of the brake and then balls to the wall
around the first turn hitting a true 87mph consistantly around its
entire apex, then down shifting to 3rd mashing the gears out to the
next turn upshifting several and mashing on the accelerator once
again. I (jesper in the 5000) cut the turn a bit on the inside
catching much of the debris on the side of the road, sending the car
into a controlled 4 wheel slide emitting superfluous amounts of blue
smoke into the view... and cabin of the A4 (he should have had on the
recirc.) Regaining grip and acceleration, onto the next corner!!!!
Mastering it, we find ourselves hinderd by none other than a red
light, at which time Bing pulles up to my right and screams "OUT OF
CONTROL" followed by "that was F@%&*#! awesome!!!". After the red
turned to green, we both lit up all 4 and side by side proceeded to
hit 130 on a nice long stretch.
We pulled in to the driveway and I let the 5000 sit idling and opened
the hood to reveal the cherry red turbo and manifold, and let them
cool over the next 15 min. Whatta frickin blast.
Let us all be thankful!
