How do I read Engine codes on a '95 A6?

My '94 100 has the connectors in the relay panel at
the base of the windshield under the hood (bonnet).

If the this was removed for the '96+ A6, then the
cheapest solution would be to download the shareware
version of Ross Tech's Vag-Com and build your own
cable/connector.
