I don't like to deal with the Clair people. It stems from some years ago when
I had a 450SL. They do not permit you to speak with the service people.
Encountered the same at Foreign Motors West. I couldn't understand this. I speak
acceptable Spanish. The service people and I could have communicated.
I noticed differing, and escalating, service rates for BMW, Mercedes and
Rolls Royce. I wonder if they really have differing people performing the work?
Interesting aside. The owner of Foreign Motors, Tom Mix, collected Packards.
He rented space in Bellingham, Mass to keep them. I suppose he didn't want his
Mercedes customers to see them.
