I struck up a relationship with my local VW/Audi/Porsche dealer parts guys
when I bought my 914 23 years ago. I buy all of my parts from them. Some
cost a little more than a few internet sites, but when it comes to bolts and
dealer only stuff, I get a great discount. 50% of the guys I know by name.
They even order me stuff, from distributors, such as Ate brake fluid at $7.50 a
can.

This association has lastest through the 914, 84 coupe, 90 coupe, kid's MKII
jetta, and my wife New Beetle. Pays off in the long run.

The list seems to embrace Clair. Although, I found by accident when the
receptionist, connected me to the "wholesale"parts line at the local
dealership
the part was $40 less than the other dealer.......... OEM original. So I
had it
shipped to the guys garage I had the car in. Dude never knew......
