Well, if the cars handle a little more neutrally while still retaining all that good Quattro tractability love in bad conditions, more power to them. Beyond that I won't get into the entire torque-split argument: there are others who can argue that one much better than I can ;)
I thought this was an encouraging comment, though:
"The rear-bias (quattro system) fits well into our new, sporty direction (for the Audi brand), Ulrich Hackenberg, head of concept development and body engineering for Audi AG, tells Wards here."
A 'new, sporty direction for the Audi brand' will hopefully translate into a new generation of cars that enthusiasts can love, hopefully across the entire model line at a lot of different price points. Wouldn't it be great to buy the updated equivalent of a CGT again at a good price? I'd be on line at the dealer.
Cheers,
Alex Kowalski
