I can remember a year when my father made up a board plow and cleared the
drive with his Cadillac (he was an engineer, of course).

Surprisingly, one of the best snow cars I ever had was an early Datsun Z. At
the time I had a girlfriend (German) in Providence, Rhode Island, near the
armory. One night, before a storm I parked in the Armory lot. To teach me a
lesson, they piled snow around me. After clearing the windshield, I just drove out
of it.

In both cases, I think it was the tires. Anybody seen a "snow tire" lately?
