Radiator Problem -- Can it be patched???

If you're talking about a crack in the neck of the radiator, and not in the
body of the endcap, I repaired one where the neck had broken off by
epoxying in a piece of copper pipe that had an OD almost perfectly matching
the ID of the neck. I soldered a ring of copper wire around the outboard
end of the copper pipe to serve as a "barb" to help retain the hose/clamp.
I drove the car maybe six months that way before I had acquired a complete
new cooling system.
