Unless the hydrogen (or energy for battery charging) is from a 
non-polluting source such as wind power or solar then all you are doing 
with these alternative fuels is to concentrate the pollution in one point 
source location rather than spreading it around everywhere.  They 
accomplish nothing for the environment.
