metric vs standard

Who knows!
I remember that about six years ago here in Western Washington (Morton area 
Hwy 12) The boys from Audi paid the local gvt to replace all the signs on a 
particular 6 mile section of the hwy with metric to film commercials. They 
thought it was a area that most resembled the Black Forest.
