I have replaced every control arm, front, and rear on my wife's 99.5 A4
Avant and Audi never had any recall on them. I contacted the dealer, and
Audi of America, and was told of no recalled at that time. That was last
year.
The car had an erratic idle two weeks ago, just a fault code, so she took it
to the dealers to have it checked out. When they called up our vehicle
history, we were informed that they would have to check the lower control
arms due to a service bulletin. Ya right. Must be one of those quit
recalls. I used aftermarket parts.
