Rant: moral support for denial enhancement

I feel your pain!

Here's my dilema for my 90q...heater core quoted at
$650 by local mechanic, so I tried myself. Got it done
pretty much, but it still smells, but smells
different, not like syrup. Plus I broke a couple clips
for my heater control cables, so now I only have
heat!!!

Power steering rack...mechanic quoted @$800 for the
rack, not including labor.

Tie rods all the way around, ball joints up front.

Let alone the fact that it's gotta be time for a
T-belt and h2o pump.

Leather is shot.

Engine light and coolent light come on.

Very discouraged after hoping to save myself some
money on the heater core! I'm hopping someone will
just slam into the car while it's parked somewhere! I
think the rims are worth more than the car by now!!! 

Meanwhile, the 4kq I've got $600 in total, is running
like a champ. Too, bad I loaned it to my friend.

My 2000 Passat is making funny noises, dealership
thinks it the drive shaft! @$2000  I've only driven it
6000 miles.

Back to driving the company work truck...4cyl Chevy
S10 that hasn't been to the shop since we bought it
four years ago! Too bad it's still embarassing to be
seen in it!
